Wardrobe Suggestions

Recently I began collaborating with my friend from work, Brianna, about a Fall family shoot that is taking place next month. Anyways, her asking me about wardrobe suggestions got me really motivated to write an entire document for Family Wardrobe Guidelines. It was really fun to make and I enjoyed writing it!

I loved doing this- I felt like I was working for Fashion Magazine (haha). I really recommend doing this if you would like to add a little clothing inspiration to your life!

Weekend Getaway

Hello all!

This weekend I'm leaving for a quick stay with Austin. I wasn't sure whether or not I would be going because of my flu, but I'm feeling much better. Plus I have a huge craving for the homemade pizza we make. So going is a must.

Most of my friends know that I'm awful at packing. I leave it too late and then rush and stress and try my best not to forget things. Packing for me takes hours. It's just a Rachel-Thing.

Sick Days

This is Day One of my sick days... little did I know I was in for a few more before the week was up! Here is a peek into some of my favourite things about relaxing. Warm knitted socks, cereal in bed, and online window shopping. <3

Sask(atoon)

Back in July I took a 2 week visit out to Saskatoon to visit my dad. I got to spend lots of time with him, see his new house, and meet his adorable new puppy Mac who I naturally fell in love with (well have you seen him?!) We also spent a weekend in Jasper climbing mountains (ha). Here are a few pictures from my adventures out West:

I'm pretty sure the grand total of time we dined out got up to 13. You only live once right?

Mac was absolutely hilarious. Either he was passed out on his bed in the back of the truck, or he was trying to find a way to sneak into the front seat.

Fun fact: Mac's full name is Greggor McPherson Struts the Third Esquire

After lots of sight-seeing and restaurants (yuuuuum), our next adventure was the Jasper Tramway. It was pretty amazing to be on top of a mountain, although it truly tested our physical fitness haha!

Nik + Bree

So I think it's pretty safe to say that Nik and Breanne are adorable. When I first starting brainstorming couples that I wanted to work with, I knew right away that they were the best choice. They are an awesome combination of cute and fun.

This also happened to be my first solo-shoot with a couple, so I was pretty nervous to start! But I love how these pictures turned out- natural, candid, and playful. It was hard not to get great pictures, with Nik constantly doing things like pulling Bree in for a spontaneous dance. I would work with this adorable couple again in an instant!

Starting out

Those of you who know me, know I'm a creative person. I love starting different projects, creating things, taking photos, sharing fun ideas. However, I am so not dedicated to just one thing. I love variety. I change my mind on a regular basis. Soooo that's how the idea for this blog came about! I want a space to share everything from photo sessions I've done to crafts I'm working on to fun personal pictures from every day life.

I am hoping that this will help me stay motivated to keep using my creative energy to share new projects. I also hope it motivates me to take more pictures of daily life! I would really like to get back into the habit of taking pictures on a regular basis.
